The process of manufacturing carbon fiber is done through the assembly of a composite laminate, which is an assembly of layers of fibrous materials. The laminate starts with a sheet of non-woven fabric and raw, unfired carbon fiber. The fabric is dipped into a resin bath, which hardens and adheres to the fibers of the fabric.
